Mid-Terms Are Here: Make Sure Your Voice is Heard!
Now’s our chance: On November 3, we can affirm our commitment to fair, democratic elections by choosing strong, dedicated public servants.
In last May’s election more voters in Clackamas County turned out to vote than any other county in Oregon, at a remarkable 45.6%. Let’s double this number in November. Check here for a list of candidates endorsed and recommended by Clackamas County Democrats.
Ballots will be mailed out on October 14 and should arrive by October 22. If you do not receive a ballot by October 22, contact Clackamas County Elections: 503-655-8510 elections@clackamas.us
Once You Receive Your Ballot…
Be sure to complete the entire ballot! Don’t underestimate the importance of electing the best candidates to positions in your communities and schools.
Our county clerk, Catherine McMullen, recommends that if you are mailing your ballot, complete it and mail it in the provided envelope as soon as you can after receiving it, at least by October 27, a week before Election Day. Since the Supreme Court declined to grant the Trump administration's request to stay lower court decisions that blocked proposed USPS ballot-handling regulations, there are no new limitations on Vote-by-Mail.
Or drop your completed ballot in an Official Ballot Drop Box. Find the Ballot Drop Box most convenient to you: Official Ballot Drop Sites | Clackamas County
Once you’ve returned your ballot, you can track its status. This is a really helpful service McMullen set up in 2023. Sign up for Track Your Ballot: https://www.clackamas.us/elections/track-your-ballot
Clackamas County has a proud record of voters turning out for free and fair elections. This November, let's do it again and choose the leaders our community needs.
