The Clackamas Together - Blue in '22 annual fundraising drive is full speed ahead, gathering sponsors for this important night of shaking the money tree. And the generosity shown so far this year is exceptional. Philanthropy lives. And that’s a very good thing during what is turning out to be the most contentious mid-term election we’ve ever experienced. The stakes are high. Democrats simply must win.
Mark your calendars. The online sale of raffle tickets begins Sept. 24th and continues to noon, October 6th. At the Lively Virtual Event on October 8th we’ll have guest speakers, a short, live auction of coveted big-ticket donations and draw the winning grand-prize raffle tickets, plus four consolation prizes.
If past raffles are any indication, you’ll want to buy more than one raffle ticket for a chance to win our Grand Prizes! We will have two grand prizes: 2 nights at a Manzanita beach home; and 2 tickets to “Dinners in the Field,” a Field & Vine catered six-course meal with various wines complementing each course, held at a local farm. Wow. That’s so generous.
Please note: The two grand prizes do NOT require you to be present at the Lively Virtual Event on October 8th. However, to win any of the consolation prizes, you will need to be at the virtual event. We will be drawing for those consolation prizes during the event. Your raffle ticket could win gift cards, special-order artisanal chocolates, original artwork and zoo passes.
Then there’s the live auction during the Lively Virtual Event. You don’t want to miss your chance to bid on two-night mini-vacations to Rockaway Beach, Sisters or Crooked River Ranch. A six-bottle wine basket, including a wine tasting, four theater tickets with a restaurant gift card and other high-value items will be in the auction. So, grease up your credit cards and get your checkbooks out.
This annual event has become one of the most important local fundraising opportunities as Clackamas County Democrats donate to support the Blue in ‘22 cause. Right now the cause is positive cash flow to support the Neighborhood Leader Program. We are raising funds for print materials, so voters have the information they need to make wise decisions. One way we do this is with “slate cards,” a hand-out about key races, key issues and resources for voters. By supporting this annual fundraiser you will be supporting our work to increase voter turnout to make sure Democrats get elected.
If you have a business, product or service to donate to this cause, show us your deep dive. We seek additional items valued over $250. We honor and welcome your generosity. So do our amazing candidates. Let’s do everything we can to support them and ensure that Democrats win, up and down the ballot.
